Country Currency
Barbados dollar (B$) = 100 cents. Notes are in denominations of B$100, 20, 10, 5, and 2. Coins are in denominations of B$1, and 25, 10, 5, and 1 cents. The Barbados dollar is fixed to the US$ at 1.98B$ = 1 US$. Major credit cards widely accepted.
 

Currency Restrictions
The export of local currency is prohibited. The export of foreign currency is limited to the amount declared on arrival.

and Regulations
Visa are required by certain nationalities. Please contact the Barbados Tourism Authority Office. Single entry Visa BDS$50.00.
The importation of certain articles are restricted or prohibited in order to protect the community, to maintain animal and plant life, among other reasons. Prohibited articles such as illegal drugs and pornography will be seized and persons may face penalties or prosecution. 

Health Information
Yellow Fever certificate required from travellers coming in from infected areas. Tetanus immunisation recommended.
 

What to Wear
Casual wear is acceptable in most places. Dressing for hotels and restaurants is suggested.
Nude bathing is illegal. Barbadians are not comfortable with undressing on public beaches.

Telephones: Public phones accept coins and credit cards. International direct dialling is available in some towns. Hotels have telephones available for both residents and non-residents.
