Country Currency

Bermuda dollar (Bda$) = 100 cents, on par with US dollar.
Notes are in denominations of Bda$ 100, 50, 20, 10, 5 and 2.
Coins are in denominations of Bda$1, and 25, 10, 5 and 1 cents.
Major credit cards and US$ accepted. If using US$ ask for change in US$ as BDA$s can only be used in Bermuda.

Currency Restrictions

The export of foreign currency is limited to the amount declared on arrival. Export of local currency is limited to Bda$ 250.

What to Wear	Casual wear acceptable in most places during the day, but beachwear should be confined to the beach. Seafarers ashore at hotels and restaurants require a jacket and tie in the evenings.
Countrywide Communications	Telephones: Public kiosks are found throughout the island and accept coins, phonecards and credit cards. International calls can be made.
