AIRPORT: Karratha Airport is approximately 15km from the port and 1555km north of Perth.Flight enquiries: Telephone: 08 9185 2033.
AIRPORT BUS: to the city of Karratha.
Departure tax of A$27.
Dampier is 20 km from Karratha.
There is no access to walk ashore from any berths in Dampier port. Dampier Seafarers' Centre provides a free bus pickup at shipside. Visiting ships should arrange bus pickup for crews through their local agent or direct by phone to the Centre. Alternatively, the Centre can be contacted on VHF using "Dampier Seafarers".
TAXI: Local taxis have access to ports but are expensive as they have to come from Karratha.
